Digital Carnet Pilot

The eATA Carnet project aims to digitalise ATA Carnets and their lifecycle management process – from issuance and declarations to transactions and claims. This page has been designed to help UK eATA pilot participants with their digital Carnet journey.

The purpose of the eATA Carnet pilot is to validate the digital ATA Carnet concept and to demonstrate that all aspects of the ATA Carnet lifecycle management can be carried out electronically, in order to facilitate transition from a paper-based document to a digital one.

The pilot will involve processing of both the paper and digital Carnet in tandem (the digital Carnet will only be processed if both the port of departure and port of arrival are participating in the pilot).
